Course Description
Foster parenting is a calling filled with both deep rewards and significant challenges. The constant demands of caring for children who have experienced trauma can take a heavy toll on a parent’s emotional and mental health. This course is designed to equip foster parents with the knowledge and tools they need to safeguard their own well-being.
Through a guided expert interview and reflective learning questions, participants will explore the signs of burnout, the importance of self-care, the role of support systems, and the value of professional help. Learners will also discover strategies to build long-term resilience and maintain hope while serving children from hard places. By the end of the course, parents will be equipped with practical steps to nurture their own mental health so they can continue fostering with strength and endurance.
