Sometimes, all it takes is a little muscle and a lot of heart to change a family’s story. With the help of Deshawn, I loaded up the truck with two bunk beds, two twin beds, and mattresses for seven children, all between the ages of one and twelve. Their mom, a courageous single mother, is doing everything she can to give her kids a fresh start.
Hats off to this incredible mom for her determination. Starting over at ground zero is no small feat, but her hope and perseverance to keep her family together is nothing short of inspiring.
We don’t always know every detail of the stories behind the children we serve, but one thing is certain—many of them are living through crises. That’s why it’s such a privilege to be part of solutions that provide stability and dignity.
Thanks to BGMC’s support, these seven little ones now have beds to call their own. No more sleeping on the floor; instead, they’ll have a warm, comfortable place to rest their heads each night. Every child deserves a safe bed and a stable home, and today, we were able to help make that a reality.
