Course Description

This course is designed to equip foster care professionals, foster parents, and birth parents with the knowledge and tools to foster effective communication and collaboration in the foster care system. Participants will explore the importance of communication in ensuring the child’s well-being, strategies for overcoming common challenges, and best practices for building positive relationships between birth and foster parents.  

By the end of the course, participants will gain actionable insights to improve the quality of relationships and outcomes for children in care. This course is ideal for anyone seeking to enhance their skills and contribute to a more supportive foster care environment.

PROFESSION: Chaplain to the foster and adoption community. CREDENTIALS: Ordained minister and endorsed chaplain through the Assemblies of God. PERSONAL: Has eleven children, loves the outdoors, and would like to see Alaska one day.

PROFESSION: National Foster Care Director, COMPACT Family Services, Hot Springs, Arkansas. EDUCATION: Masters of Pastoral Leadership and TBRI Practitioner. PERSONAL: Lance and Lindsey have 5 children total. Lance enjoys golf and watching his kids play sports.
