Course Description

Healing Hidden Wounds: Understanding and Supporting Foster Children with PTSD is designed to equip foster and adoptive families with the knowledge and tools needed to care for children who have experienced trauma. This course explores the causes and effects of PTSD in children, offering practical strategies for creating a safe, supportive, and healing environment. Participants will learn to recognize the signs of PTSD, understand its impact on emotional and developmental growth, and implement trauma-informed parenting techniques. With a focus on hope and resilience, this course empowers caregivers to be agents of healing in their children’s lives, fostering trust and stability for brighter futures.
