Parenting children from hard places can be a deeply rewarding yet challenging journey. This course is designed to equip foster and adoptive parents with the tools they need to manage anger and build emotional resilience.
Participants will explore common triggers of anger unique to fostering, learn to recognize early warning signs, and discover practical strategies to de-escalate and prevent emotional overwhelm.
Through expert insights and real-life examples, the course will also focus on modeling healthy emotional regulation, creating a calmer household environment, and knowing when to seek additional support.

Chaplain Ted Stackpole serves the foster and adoption community with deep compassion and commitment, drawing from years of experience as a spiritual leader and advocate for vulnerable children and families. He is an ordained minister and an endorsed chaplain with the Assemblies of God, offering guidance, hope, and pastoral care to those navigating the complexities of foster care and adoption. A devoted father of eleven, Ted enjoys spending time in the great outdoors and hopes to one day fulfill his dream of exploring the rugged beauty of Alaska.
