Course Description
This course is designed to help couples address the unique challenges of raising children who are not their own, such as foster children or those under guardianship. It focuses on practical strategies for managing the emotional toll and fostering resilience within the relationship, while also helping couples align their differing parenting styles. Participants will learn how to adopt a healthy mindset toward budgeting and financial planning, ensuring stability for their expanded family, as well as develop effective time management skills to balance caregiving responsibilities with their personal relationship. The course also provides guidance on navigating the uncertainties of caregiving and recognizing signs of marital strain or mental health challenges stemming from stress or lack of self-care. Additionally, it explores ways to combat feelings of isolation and build a reliable support network among friends, family, and community resources. Through this program, couples will gain the tools needed to strengthen their bond, prioritize self-care, and create a nurturing environment for the children in their care.
