A New Generation Carrying the Gospel

This past weekend I had the honor of water baptizing my niece — a moment that deeply stirred my heart and strengthened my faith in what God is doing among the next generation.

In her mid-20s, she has been completely transformed by the love and power of God. What began as an encounter with Him has grown into an ongoing, life-shaping experience. Her marriage, her desires, her relationships, and her plans for the future have all been redirected through the work of the Spirit in her life. When God is allowed to move beyond a moment and into a lifestyle, transformation becomes unmistakable.

Her energy and hunger for God’s Word are evident. There is a joy and expectancy that radiate from her countenance — a passion to learn, grow, and walk in obedience. She is consuming all she can, and she reminds me of the seed Jesus described that fell on fertile soil — receiving the Word, nurturing it, and producing fruit. Watching this unfold is both humbling and encouraging.

Experiences like this give me hope. They remind me that the gospel is not fading or losing relevance — it is alive and still transforming hearts. God continues to call and raise up vessels who are willing to carry His Spirit, follow His Word, and choose His ways over the patterns of the world.

The gospel remains the hope for all mankind. And I see that hope shining through young adults who are courageously surrendering their lives to Christ and stepping forward in faith.

Today I want to celebrate my niece — and so many others like her — who have picked up the torch and are carrying its light into a world often overshadowed by darkness. Their commitment is a testimony that God is still moving, still calling, and still changing lives.

May we continue to pray for them, encourage them, and stand alongside them as they walk boldly in the truth of the gospel.
