In the wake of COVID, communities everywhere were asking the same question: How do we respond to the growing needs of children and families in crisis?
In 2021, one of those answers for Northeast Florida was CarePortal.
At the time, CarePortal was still a relatively new piece of technology in Florida. What made it powerful wasn’t just the platform itself, but the vision behind it—to bring churches, individuals, and businesses together with one shared purpose: serving children and strengthening families when it matters most.
CarePortal created something unique.
Each partner has their own lane to serve in and a meaningful role to play. Caseworkers identify real, urgent needs. Churches respond with compassion and action. Individuals step in with generosity. Businesses provide resources and expertise. Together, stability is created where crisis once lived.
A Shared Mission, A Growing Vision
From the beginning, Chaplain Ted Network believed deeply in this collaborative model. Over the past few years, our primary focus has continued to sharpen—stabilizing children and strengthening families—a mission that has now grown into a national platform we call Project1Home.
While our reach has expanded nationally, our roots remain deeply planted in Northeast Florida.
We continue to serve as a Community Champion and Network IP Partner with CarePortal, working alongside so many faithful churches and partners throughout our region. Through CarePortal, we’ve had the privilege of witnessing tangible moments of hope—beds delivered, homes stabilized, families supported, and children reminded that they are seen and valued.

None of this happens in isolation.
So many individuals, churches, and businesses have stood with us since the very beginning of this journey. Your willingness to say “yes”—sometimes quickly, sometimes sacrificially—has made a real difference in the lives of children and families navigating some of their hardest moments.
